Our Polices
Fabric Length: All in stock fabrics are sold by the 1/2 yard. All preorder fabrics are sold by the full yard.
We will make every effort to send your fabric in one continuous length if you order 1 yard or more of the same fabric, but this is not guaranteed. Please contact us prior to placing an order if you need your fabric to be in one continuous length. Under no circumstances will we send lengths of less than one yard without your prior consent if you have ordered 1 yd or more of a fabric.
About Shipping
Our in stock fabrics ship from Rhode Island and in stock orders ship within 3 business days. If processing times need to be extended, such as during large promotional events, we will place a notification on our website. We strive to get your order to you as quickly as possible.
NOTE: We carry a mixture of in stock and pre-order/custom-order fabrics in order to provide the widest range of fabric choices and prints. In stock fabrics can be found in the "in stock" headings on our website menu.
To keep our shipping charges low, all orders will ship complete. If your order contains a mix of pre-order/custom order fabrics and in-stock fabrics, your order will not ship until all fabrics are on hand. Please place separate orders if you wish for your in-stock fabric purchase to ship now.
Returns: We have a no return policy due to the customized nature of cut fabric.
Pre-order Fabrics
We offer a curated collection of prints from popular designers such as Lumelo and Ginger, Wharfedale Studios, Claire Eddie Art, and more.
These prints can be ordered across a range of fabric bases such as reactive printed jersey or French terry, and European jersey and French terry.
Please note: Designs on dark colored backgrounds print best on reactive printed fabrics.
We can accommodate special fabric requests. Please contact us with the type of fabric you are looking for, and we'll get back to you with a quote.
Print scale: All Little Rhody pre-order designs are shown with a ruler to show scale. The scale of any design we own can be adjusted to your preferences. If you wish to order a design with a different scale, let us know. This does not include designs by Family Fabrics. We do not own these designs and we cannot have them adjusted.
Orders are placed on the 15th of each month for reactive printed fabrics and on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month for Family Fabrics. The turnaround time for reactive printed fabrics is about 3-5 weeks. For Family Fabrics, the turnaround time is about 1.5 - 2 weeks.
Estimated turn around time is the time it will take for the fabrics to reach us. Please add an additional 3 - 5 additional transit days for the fabrics to reach you once we have them in hand from our printer.
Custom Order Fabrics
Many of our European fabrics are only available by preorder. Orders are placed twice a month, (usually on the first and third Monday or Tuesday of the month) with our European textile partners. These orders generally have a quick turn-around and usually reach us in about 14 business days (sometimes sooner). We always ship custom order fabrics to you within 24-48 hours of receiving them. If there are delays by our textile partners, we will notify you. These orders cannot be canceled for any reason once we place the order with our textile partners and are not eligible for return.
Please Note: Orders ship complete. If your order contains a mix of pre-order/custom order fabrics and in-stock fabrics, your order will not ship until all fabrics are on hand. Please place separate orders if you wish for your in-stock fabric purchase to ship now.

You should only wash new fabrics with like colors until you are sure that no bleeding of colors is occurring.
It Started With a Love of Sewing And Fabric....
My name is Anne Aldridge-Baligian and I am the owner of Little Rhody Fabric. I live in the beautiful coastal state of Rhode Island with my husband Paul, and my youngest daughter, Abigail. I also have 4 adult children who have all flown the nest and two wonderful grandchildren.
I began selling fabric after my family-run business was shut down during the pandemic. My company had been in business for over 20 years and I suddenly found myself having to pivot, and pivot hard, to keep my business open. I began sewing fabric masks when face masks were in short supply at the start of the pandemic. As the demand for masks dwindled, I began to make children's clothing but could not find the types of prints I was looking for in my favorite fabrics...knit jersey and French terry.
Since that time I have begun dedicating all my time to Little Rhody Fabric. I search out European fabrics, mainly knits, that are not easily sourced in the USA, as well as designing custom seamless files that I use to print many of the Little Rhody Sewing Co.'s custom fabrics. These fabrics are offered here on my website and in my Etsy shop. I also make personalized baby and children's blankets, dolls, stuffed toys, and more.
I have been sewing for over 30 years and I am very particular about the fabric I use. As a mother of 5, and grandmother of 2, I have learned over the years that softness and durability matter. There is nothing worse than sewing up an article of clothing just to have it wear or fade quickly because the fabric wasn't good quality. My goal is to offer the highest-quality fabrics that will make hand-me-down worthy items for the children in your life.
I hope you enjoy looking through my website and that you will find some fabric that will inspire you. Happy sewing
